1st Annual Chili Cook-Off
Hosted by the Benton County Sheriff's Office
The Posse did very well, had a great showing with a very nice booth, a very good chili recipe and a great showing with members on horse back. The final results were given with the celebrity judges in the afternoon, sorry to say the Posse did not place in their results. The final results for the Peoples Choice were given out later in the afternoon, the Posse did very well. We were voted with 1st place in best booth and 1st place in best chili.
Everyone who helped was great as follows,Riding: Lacey, Jan, Blaine, Alisa and Gary. All looked great and heard from several people that the horses were a great a touch to have.
Cooking: Linda, Donna, Mark, Jimmy and Mary. It was a very early morning to get started cooking and to do the decorating, but it all came together with allot of fun mixed in with a very small space to work.
Recipe: Blaine and Jan. We got allot of compliments on the chili, of course we were the first to run out of chili, everyone was coming back for 2nds, 3rds and sometimes 4ths. We had also help in shopping and clean up support from Anna and Scott, and last to all the tasters and chef's from our own chili cook off tasting test.
