Regular members who have given long-term exemplary service to the Benton County Posse can be voted into the Honorary Membership after they become inactive as regular members. Honorary members do not hold office or vote in posse business, and they are not issued posse equipment. They are welcomed at all social events but are exempt from all fund raising and training responsibilities.
There are currently three Honorary Members of the Benton County Posse.
Chuck Cunningham: He spent more than 40 years as a regular member. He was given honorary membership in the early 1990s.
Cliff Larkin: An original charter member, Cliff has been in the posse since 1946.
Keith Pyle: He has been a member for more than 45 years.
Cliff and Keith were inducted into the honorary membership in April 2002.
